COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAM

Introduced in 2026, our Community Care Program reflects our shared responsibility to care for one another, look out for those around us, and promote a safe and inclusive festival environment for everyone at River & Sky.

Community Care Hubs

Located at our mainstage, beach stage, family camping and dance party, the Hubs are places to go for help, services,  essentials, and recycling. Look for the Community Care Logo.

  • Essentials: Fill up on water, or get a quick hit of bug spray and sunscreen.

  • Lost children and parents can  use the hubs to find each other.

  • Harm Reduction materials will be available through a partnership with the Reseau Access Centre and their volunteers.

  • Accessibility rides: People who need mobility rides can call for a ride through the Hubs. (See more on our Accessibility Page about getting a priority wristband.)

  • Other services: Hubs are also places to sort your trash so it can be recycled and a place to pick up firewood (purchased at Merch).

Child Registry:

Parents can register their children at the gate for this program which provides a numbered wristband linking the child to their guardian in the registry.

Community Standards of Behaviour:

To maintain a space of trust and safety, the behaviors that undermine consent, respect, or the collective wellbeing of the festival community will not be tolerated.

The Community Care Agreement and Safety Policy apply to all River & Sky team members, participants, volunteers, artists and vendors. Read more below.

Training:

Bystander Intervention training has been offered to volunteers and other team members. It’s also available to all participants. Please see the handy toolkit below.

Reporting behaviours:

This can be done in person at the Hubs or to volunteers, as well as anonymously through an online platform called REES. CLICK HERE.
