Check out River & Sky’s more than 20 workshops, geared to different ages and interests, including nature based, arts, crafts, movement, wellness, and community building workshops. No experience needed, just bring your sense of curiosity and adventure!

Meet at the Workshop Tent. From there, you will move as a group towards your designated workshop location. Workshops are available on a “first come, first served” basis unless otherwise indicated. Most are free, however some have a small fee to join. Unless otherwise specified, each workshop will take roughly an hour. 

In addition to our workshops, the North Bay Astronomy Club will also have a booth on Friday and Saturday with day-time sun viewing and night-time star and planetary viewing.

 BIRCH BARK TIC TAC TOE – Grace Bellmore

Thursday & Friday 4:00-5:00 pm

Join us for a fun and creative workshop where children and adults (best suited for children ages 4 to 14) unleash their artistic talents while learning about the creative ways we can use natural resources around us! In this hands-on session, participants will create their very own portable Tic Tac Toe game using natural materials, making it a perfect activity for camping trips, backyard fun, or family gatherings or the ride back from River and Sky. 

YOGA FOR INTERCONNECTION -Alexandra Albert

Saturday 9:00-10:00 am

A gentle, all-levels yoga flow to start your day with presence and connection. No experience needed. We’ll move slowly exploring our connection to self, each other, the land, and beyond. Held outdoors in nature’s embrace — bring a mat or towel, water, and an open heart.

BUTTON MAKING – Kylee Bakowski

Friday & Saturday 10:00-11:00 am

 Participants can press their own pin-back button or magnet! Limit of one free button or magnet per person (for more there is a cost). Feeling creative? Make your own design or bring your own image to cut and press (great for polaroids).

MENDING WORKSHOP -Willow Ritchie

The community mending circle is an invitation to slow down, sit with each other and take time to take care.  Bring a beloved piece of clothing or gear to repair, or  stitch some love and good intention into a piece of clothing to make an R&S keepsake   All are welcome.  (Kids 9 and under need an adult buddy please!)

UPCYCLED NECKLACE -Annabelle Harvey

Create your very own upcycled necklace using a colourful mix of second-hand beads. You’ll find plenty of unique beads to choose from in all shapes, sizes, hues and materials. t Bring your besties, your good vibes and your creativity!

Kids’ Make and Take Bead Workshop – Ages 5-12 (Friday)

Design your very own necklace or bracelet. Make it just for YOU, or create a super special gift for your friends and family! We have tons of beads – every single shape, size, and colour you can imagine.

Taylor Robitaille, Mètis mama of two and Head Witch of The Tiny Alchemist Co. will host a workshop for magical beings to create a STRENGTH POTION. You’ll learn about the story of a Magical Creature who is in need of our help, and the spiritual/magical/health benefits of the ingredients used to create the Potion. 

OFF GRIDDING -Ayla Frank

Sharing the basics of off grid living, exploring the ideas and mentalities that make wild living both possible and extremely rewarding. How to get started and things to consider if you are looking to make the jump to self-sustaining off grid living. 

BUILD-A-SHOW – Knox Hall

 You’ll team up with the Knox crew to dream up, shape, and pitch your ideal event. Come ready to collaborate, play, and get those creative juices flowing.

INTEGRATION CIRCLE – Amy Johnston

Friday & Saturday 6:00-7:00 pm

A slow, reflective hour for those craving quiet in the midst of festival energy. We’ll pull cards, connect inward and set mindful intentions for your time in Paradise. Sharing is optional This circle offers a space to land, listen and integrate what’s stirring. Bring a blanket or cushion to sit on.

THAI MASSAGE – Natalie DeMarco

Friday 9:00-10:00 am

Discover the ancient and dynamic practice of Thai Yoga Massage in this hands-on workshop. You’ll learn a series of guided Thai stretching techniques and take turns both giving and receiving, creating a balanced and supportive learning experience. Come with a partner or on your own—no experience necessary. We’ll pair up participants so everyone has a chance to practice. Please bring a large beach towel or small blanket, as we’ll be working on the ground.

FRIENDSHIP BRACELET – 46 North (Holli)

Drop in Saturday afternoon (12:00-2:00 PM)

Join us for a cozy, hands-on creative session where festival-goers of all ages can craft their own friendship bracelets! No experience needed — just good vibes, some string, and a little patience. We’ll have all the supplies and printed step-by-step guides to help you create a variety of bracelet styles, from simple braids to colorful chevrons. Stay for 10 minutes or all afternoon! Great for kids, teens, and adults alike.

THE SUN and the NIGHT SKY

The North Bay Astronomy Club will provide telescopes that the public can use to view solar

flares and sunspots during the day and galaxies, nebulae and star clusters at night. 

INTRO TO ECO PRINTING – Ali Steer

Saturday 12:00-1:00pm & Sunday 11:00-12:00pm 

Learn about and try “hapa zome,” the magical art of textile and paper printing with plants and flowers –  a Japanese technique of “plant pounding” among other botanical dying techniques.  Participants will learn how to select and arrange plant materials and to then transfer the plant pigments onto the chosen surface.

FORAGING -Ayla Frank

Saturday 2:00-3:00 pm

Exploring the safety of wild medicine foraging, basics in plant identification, ethical harvesting practices with great attention to a mindset of connection and community with the beautifully abundant forest we live in. 

CHILDREN’S LITERACY – Danielle Levy

Saturday 3:00-4:00 pm

This workshop is designed for parents/guardians (or older siblings) to attend with their child. Bring something cozy or comfortable to sit on, read a few books together and then take a book back to your campsite and home with you after the festival wraps up.

POETRY – ALEXIA COUSINEAU

Saturday 4:00-5:00 pm

At this poetry writing circle, we will explore spoken word as a way to build connection. Through writing prompts, collaborative exercises, and shared performance, we’ll explore how language can make us feel alive, seen, and together.  Just bring a pen, a notebook, and your beautiful self. 

ICONIC TIE DYE- Michelle Biggins

Sunday 12:00-1:00 pm

Michelle will be teaching the basics, and for those seasoned dyers, you  will be working on some motifs. White t-shirts for the workshop cost $10 or bring your own There will be enough dye for one t-shirt per person.  Let’s make some tie-dye fun!
