River & Sky is much like the Sturgeon River where we meet up each year at Fishers’ Paradise. A lot happens beneath the surface and change is continuous.
Abigail Cassio, who has led the festival for five years as Executive Director, is heading off on new adventures. We can’t thank her enough for her leadership that took us through COVID and through some incredible festivals, with line-ups that went beyond great music to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
Right now, our Board and committees of dedicated members are working to plan 2025. The early bird tickets are flying a bit faster than expected with 86% now gone – thank you for your support!
Depending on funding outcomes, we’ll be posting paid festival lead positions, in the spring, including a Festival Manager — a new position overseeing the 2025 operations. We are hoping to open our volunteer process soon. Last year, we had close to 200 volunteers who helped make the festival happen!
River & Sky Arts in the Woods is a grassroots organization that relies on the energy of our volunteers and community. This spirit of inclusivity, respect, community and sustainability will continue to carry us forward.
