The Almighty Rhombus

Thursday, July 19th at 7 P.M.

Kicking off the festival is the infectious, sunshine pop of Almighty Rhombus. The band’s new album, SWISH, released in April, was produced by Ian Blurton (Change of Heart and C’Mon), at his Pro Gold Studios last year. Jam-packed with hooks, melody, and fun flourishes, it’s the band’s first official release since 2013’s Lucid Living, when they last played R&S.

“‘Sun, It Shines’ is an uncontrollable song that generates nonstop momentum, tossing off hooks and sonic textures as if they were panicked passengers jumping off a runaway train before it’s inevitable catastrophic collision,” explains the Rhombus.
